Government of Portugal Formally Commits to CAM SMART Cable System

The announcement can be considered the formal launch with full government commitment of the submarine cable linking the Continent, the Azores and Madeira (CAM) in a ring system with sensors for earthquake and tsunami early warning and climate and ocean monitoring (SMART CAM).

A total of €154M has been committed to the project.
