Vanuatu and New Caledonia Leaders sign Memorandum of Understanding for New international cable

Government leaders of Vanuatu and New Caledonia signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) on 29 July 2022 to facilitate the installation of a second international marine cable from Interchange Limited (ICL). The agreement was met after there was a request for New Caledonia to streamline and secure internet development in Vanuatu. It is anticipated that this cable could include SMART Repeaters.
