It was a pleasure to meet with the Indonesian Agency for Meteorology, Climatology, and Geophysics (BMKG) delegates at the University of Hawaii at Manoa this past Tuesday. We had fruitful discussions about continuing partnerships between BMKG and #SMART Cables to advance Innovative Technology for Multi-hazard Early Warning in Indonesia.
A big thank you to Director Dwikorita Karnawati, Tri Handayani and Suci Dewi (BMKG, Indonesian Agency for Meteorological, Climatological and Geophysics), and Kodijat Ardito (UNESCO-IOC Indian Ocean Tsunami Information Centre), for taking the time to visit us and discuss potential collaborations, including graduate student training. Exciting times ahead!
