Joint Task Force / U. Hawaii awarded $7M from Moore Foundation

The University of Hawai`i’s School of Ocean and Earth Technology (SOEST) announced a $7M grant from the Gordon and Betty Moore Foundation. The grant will facilitate global SMART submarine cables and integrate sensors to help with tsunami and earthquake early warning systems near Vanuatu and New Caledonia, and establish the first SMART Cables International Project Office.
